Disney Fan Art has been a hobby of mine since I was a kid. When I was eight years old and we were at our week-long family reunion in Normandy Beach, NJ. Even with all the excitement of the ocean and the go-karts at the boardwalk there was one thing that I thought of every day with overwhelming anticipation! I knew that on Friday, the last day of our vacation, we would all go see The Lion King in the theater as a family!
I had been waiting all summer and already had the toys and a color form set and had learned to draw all the main characters from copying a coloring book. I set my expectations so unreasonably high and then Disney exceeded them still.
Every year we saw the latest Disney animation and the anticipation and thrill sparked an obsession has never fully worn off even twenty-five years later.
